Where are the westerly,s

I actually read in "new scientist" (boffin mag) that the lack of SW wind/change in the jet stream is due to the low solar activity at the mo not heating a specific section of the upper atmosphere, and this causes the high altitude jet streams to shift. They change their minds in that mag every month though. Other times of extreme documented UK cold through continental winds correlate to low solar output levels... They said they have records going back a long way. So give the sun a sir!!!

Having just returned from a tour of the shops it's obvious no one is riding. It's really bad. The season just hasn't started! and it's the middle of May!!

Keep your eye on the forecast tho, and don't loose heart... Feel for the windsurfers though..

These easterly airstreams are bad news for every wind powered industry... :-(

North West kitesurfing lessons: Sweet Weekend !!!!!

North West kitesurfing lessons: Sweet Weekend !!!!!

Sweet Weekend !!!!!

Sweet weekend for wind on the wirral.Saturday was just me and Scotty the only kitesurfers out in West Kirby, where was you all.We both had the chance to try the Nobile kites i loved the N62 Scotty loved the T5. Something for everyone there T5 is much quicker through the air and much lighter bar pressure both kites have great wind range. And both kites got great feedback down at New Brighton on Sunday.Think a couple of the locals may be putting there hands in their pockets. Was a good weekend for the kitesurfing lessons at New Brighton to,was a lot of traffic on Sunday due to the wind being so good so thanks to most of the guys leaving space for the students......remember though if you put yourself downwind of a student it is @ your own risk guys, these are the accepted rules all over the world we know there are a lot of novices there so lets keep it as safe as poss guys.
